Grand Finale, Palm Springs October 8th
The Trevor Project will be the beneficiary of a reception hosted by Instinct Magazine on Friday night, October 7, 2005, for the Grand Finale Weekend. Making their first public appearance, Finalists from around the globe will be honored guests that night at a beautiful private estate in Palm Springs. This special gathering will mark an historic first as representatives from over a dozen nations and US cities come together to kickoff the Weekend of parties and competitive rounds leading up to the naming of Mr. Gay International 2006. held in LA sponsored by the Fiesta.
Daniel will compete against the other
LA Finalists at the Mr. Gay LA Competition
on September 25, 2005.
Any gay male over 18 may enter anytime
by mailing or presenting the online application
up to one hour before the 3:30 PM Competition
at this year's Gay Life Expo at the Palladium.

The New York City Finals on September 24 th and the Los Angeles Finals September 25 th are the last two open contests where any self-declared gay male over 18 may complete for their city's title of "Mr. Gay 2006." "The Search is still ON" - so, if you or anyone you know would be interested in competing for the title of Mr. Gay New York City or Mr. Gay Los Angeles, check for contest details at MrGayCompetition.com.
Both the NYC and LA winners earn two domestic airline tickets to their choice to one of five US cities, an expense paid trip to Palm Springs at the Riviera Resort to compete in the Mr. Gay US Competition on October 6-9, 2005 including rock climbing in Joshua Tree National Park and Fireman's Qualification Training in Palm Springs, gift packages from JOICO and Centaur Entertainment. As incentive for aspiring actors to enter the Competition, we have also included an acting lesson by Hollywood acting coach Bobbi Shaw Chance, who was named by Variety as one of the top three acting coaches in the United States . In addition, the winner will receive private photo sessions with internationally known photographers Tom Bianchi and Jim Cox.

The Palm Springs and San Diego Finals were recently completed and images from both of those contests are online now. Bob Ficco won the Mr. Gay Palm Springs title and Jesse Bashem won Mr. Gay San Diego. Check our website's EVENTS page for those photos.

Bobbing for Condoms and a push-up elimination round were
just part of the Competition in San Diego to determine
the Finalists on August 30 th at Numbers.

The Grand Finale will be in the Riviera's
Mediterranean Room, where Elvis Presley
and Frank Sinatra rehearsed their Vegas acts.
A lucky 300 ticket buyers will be seated
at tables there for the inaugural
Mr. Gay Competition on October 8, 2005.

Judges for the Grand Finale include State Assemblyman, Mark Leno, Palm Springs Mayor Ron Oden, writer/director Dirk Shafer ("Man of the Year" and "Circuit"), Instinct Magazine's Publisher J.R. Pratts, Interactive Male's Marketing Director Joseph Rachert from Canada , Palm Springs developer Scott Unger, and from Connecticut, Electric Dreams Foundation Board President, Alan Brown.
Q TV Network is taping the action for a television show they will broadcast later this year. The independent film company, " Underachiever Films" is capturing all of this action on film and will show edits of the off-site competition rounds during the Saturday night Grand Finale.
