Jesse on Cover of Instinct Magazine. The December issue features our winner, Jesse Bashem from San Diego. See the multi-page photo spread featuring Jesse at http://www.instinctmag.com/. Jesse is a gymnastics coach and psychotherapy Intern from San Diego and his public bookings are managed through , the producer of the Mr. Gay Competitions. He is available to perform versions of the short gymnastics routine similar to the one he presented during his talent presentation at the 2005 Competition when he won both the US and then the International Mr. Gay titles.

The process for planning our US and International Mr. Gay Competitions for 2006 are well underway. Executive Producer Don Spradlin has already established License Agreements with several new US city producers including Atlanta , Houston and Boston. Several nations have also checked in about joining the competition in 2006. Nations added to the list for next year include France, Canada and Colombia. Negotiations are underway for new licensees in the Philippines, Brazil, Israel, Thailand, Ireland and Spain.

The goals of the production team for 2006 are to license at least 20 US city producers to manage a contest system in their home towns. In addition to growing the number of US Finalists, the goal is to have at least 20 nations participate in the expanded International Competition.

The US and International Grand Finales will be on separate nights next year, but both on Columbus Day Weekend - October, 6-7, 2006. The US Competition is on Friday night, October 6 th and the International Competition is set for Saturday night, October 7, 2006, in the same location. There will be separate panels of judges on each night.

Judge's Score Sheets Now Posted One the Grand Finale page at MrGayCompetition.com there are short bios of each of our 2005 Judges and their score sheets. This disclosure of actual scores provides you with a detailed understanding of how the 'tie' occurred. Unfortunately, one judge was unable to attend at the very last minute due to a family health emergency. The result was a deadlock between the remaining six judges, which added unexpected drama to the first International Mr. Gay Competition.
